Brad Morton graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology and received an A.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology at Western Kentucky University. In 2006, Brad started Morton Energy, which eventually morphed into Morton Solar & Electric. He has 20 years in the Automation Industry as an Electrical Engineer. Brad is very passionate about reducing the size of our community’s carbon footprint, which is why he has become so involved in the renewable energy industry throughout his career.

KACEE KEMPER - Finance & Safety Coordinator


Office Manager

KaCee grew up in Evansville for most of her life and married her high school sweetheart, with whom they share a son! She lived in Hawaii for a while where she worked for an electrician who was building smart homes. Her professional background includes mostly accounting work, but she’s not afraid to get her hands dirty to help the team get the job done.



Administrative Assistant & Marketing

Jessica grew up in Mount Vernon, IN and attended the University of Southern Indiana where she received a BA in Art, with an emphasis in Graphic Design. She began with Morton Solar & Electric right out of college to help spread knowledge and awareness on solar energy and its effectiveness in our community. When she isn’t working, Jessica and her daughter love to travel - their favorite destination being Walt Disney World!

ALEX SCHMITT - Director of Strategic Development


Director of Strategic Development

Alex Schmitt is from Ireland, IN. He received a B.S. in Physics and a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Evansville in 2016. Upon graduating, Alex joined Morton Solar. He has contributed to installation, administration, designing, project management, procurement, and sales. He has been involved in the installation of over 7 MW (DC) worth of PV solar projects. Alex is currently the Director of Strategic Development where he is responsible for estimating and company management. In his free time, Alex enjoys cooking, gardening, hiking, and traveling.

HANNAH JARAMILLO - Human Resource Manager


Solar Solutions Consultant & Marketing

Hannah is from Newburgh, IN and attended the University of Evansville for Marketing and Management. She once gave a TED talk, was selected to be in the 20 under 40 issue of News4U magazine, was honored with the individual Civic Engagement Award at the Celebration of Leadership, and accepted another COL award for the Mickey's Kingdom Park project with fellow committee chairs. She began work with Morton Solar & Electric to expand renewable energy to our local and global community. In Hannah’s free time and at work, she has worked on community engagement efforts with organizations like Leadership Everyone, where she serves on the board, UE, and the police department.

Solar Solutions Consultant

Thomas is originally from Evansville, but left to pursue his undergraduate degree in Biology and Environmental Science at Centre College in Kentucky. He is currently attending Indiana University for a masters degree in both Public Affairs and Environmental Science, and was also a biology instructor for 2 years. His passion and vision for a cleaner community lead him to Morton Solar where he can help others make the switch to renewable energy. In his spare time, Thomas loves eating out with friends or going on hikes and enjoying the outdoors!


Project Manager & Electrical Estimator

Art Owen is from Evansville and completed the NJATC for the Electrical Industry. He currently holds the Vanderburgh County Electrical Masters License and the Vanderburgh County Local License. Art has approximately 38 years experience in the electrical industry as an electrician as well as estimating, project management and supervisory experience.


Electrical Engineer

Jordan received his B.S. in Engineering from the University of Kentucky before working as a Distribution Engineer at Vectren for three years. He brings a lot of that experience into his work at Morton Solar, along with his passion for reducing our community’s carbon footprint. In his free time, Jordan really enjoys playing video games and board games with friends.
