Morton Solar's office is located in the Mt. Carmel Public Works building at 602 E. 5th Street.

Morton is a solar pioneer in the region and installed some of the first solar energy systems in Southern Indiana and Southern Illinois. Examples of such projects include the first net-zero library in the United States in Chrisney, Indiana (2010), and the Baptist Children's Hospital in Carmi, Illinois in Wayne-White service territory (2012).

“Mt. Carmel is located in the center of the Illinois Coal Basin and considered an Energy Community with its rich history of oil and coal production. We come from coal country as well and want to be located in those types of communities that have been economically reliant on fossil fuel industries so we can help create the jobs of the future.” said Brad Morton, President.

To date, Morton has installed over 60% of all solar projects in Southwest Indiana and recently completed major commercial projects for AstraZeneca, Vectren, Indiana American Water, Southern Star Pipeline, Old National Bank, Evansville Water & Sewer, and Vuteq Indiana. Morton also completed the first net-zero elementary school in the United States in Richardsville, Kentucky in 2010. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ALQDCl0djQ&t=28s
